Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo (1922-2010)
Siwert Bergström (the founder of Galleri GKM), were led by a fascination for Corneille and the joie de vivre of his paintings.
Therefore Siwert visited Corneille in Paris in 1976, the two of them met in a sidewalk café by the Rue de Clignancourt. Corneille promised to produce a sequence of engravings for Siwert’s gallery, this marked the beginning of a fruitful friendship and a close working relationship.
Numerous exhibitions, editions and publishings have been made over the years between them. For many of these occacions they had posters printed, STAIN Collection are honoured to have taken over this legacy and continue sharing Siwert's passion for art.
